LinkBrokers Derivatives Corporation donates over $15,000 to BANJ Relief Fund


LinkBrokers Derivatives Corporation recently donated $15,559.00 to BANJ Relief Fund. The fund was established for helping victims of natural disasters and for other charitable purposes. The money was raised by LinkBrokers on the Charity Day on September 23, 2004. Each year, the company donates the proceeds of the designated day (called Charity Day)to one or more charitable organizations. Mr. Razi Karim, an employee of the LinkBrokers was instrumental in including BANJ as one of the designated organizations.

On the Charity Day, Dr. Monowar Hossain, President of BANJ visited LinkBrokers Derivatives Corporation and explained the role of BANJ to employees and officers of the Corporation. The picture shows Dr. Hossain and Mr. Karim at the LinkBrokers' headquarters in New York.

BANJ has already taken steps to disburse the money for charitable use. The designated organizations are Bangladesh Red Cross, Pallishishu Foundation of Bangladesh, Ahmed Memorial Foundation, and Bangladesh Kendro Nari Punorbashan Songstha.
